# Toast

> Send a finished phone order to the Toast kitchen.

The Toast card sends a finished phone order to one Toast restaurant so the kitchen ticket prints there. The card says: "Post the finished phone order to one Toast restaurant so the kitchen ticket prints there."

## Open the Toast card

  <Step title="Open Ordering">
    Sign in to trykovo. In the left menu, press **Ordering**. On a phone, press the menu button first, then **Ordering**.

    Scroll to the card titled **Toast**.

  <Step title="Paste the restaurant id">
    In **Restaurant GUID**, paste the restaurant id Toast uses for this shop. The line under the box says "Toast-Restaurant-External-ID for this shop."

    The id is a long code of letters, numbers, and dashes, in five groups. If the box is empty, the page says "Restaurant GUID is required." If the code is the wrong shape, the page says "Restaurant GUID has to be a GUID."

  <Step title="Leave dining off, unless you need it">
    Leave **Use a dining option** unchecked. The line under it says "Turn this on only when the ticket should name a dining option."

    Check it only when the ticket should name one, such as pickup. A new box appears: **Dining option GUID**. The line under that box says "Required while a dining option is on." Paste the dining-option id from Toast. It uses the same long code shape as the restaurant id.

    Uncheck **Use a dining option** and the dining-option box goes away.

  <Step title="Press Save">
    Press **Save**. The button says **Saving…** while it works. When it finishes, the word **Active** appears next to **Toast**. Finished phone orders go to this restaurant.

  <Step title="Press Test connection">
    Press **Test connection**. The button says **Testing…** while it runs. This prints one ticket for \$0.00. It does not charge anyone, and it does not mark a real phone order paid.

When the test works, the page says:

> Test ticket for \$0.00 was accepted. No phone order was marked paid.

## If the test fails

A red line names the box to fix:

* "Restaurant GUID is required." Paste the restaurant id.
* "Restaurant GUID has to be a GUID." Paste the id again. It needs letters, numbers, and dashes, in five groups.
* "Dining option GUID is required." Paste the dining-option id, or uncheck **Use a dining option**.
* "Dining option GUID has to be a GUID." Paste that id again in the same long code shape.

Press **Save**, then press **Test connection** again.

If the page says "The test ticket was not sent", the ticket never left. Fix the red line first.

If the page says "Test ticket for \$0.00 was not accepted", the kitchen did not get the ticket. Read the rest of that sentence. When it names a box on this card, fix that box and test again. No phone order is marked paid.
