# Square

> Send a finished phone order to one Square location.

The Square card creates a finished phone order at one Square location so it shows on that register. The card says: "Create the phone order in one Square location so it shows on that point of sale."

## Open the Square card

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Ordering">
    Sign in to trykovo. In the left menu, press **Ordering**. On a phone, press the menu button first, then **Ordering**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find Square">
    Scroll to the card titled **Square**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste the location id">
    In **Location id**, paste the id of the Square location that should get the ticket. The line under the box says "The Square location that should receive the ticket."

    If the box is empty, the page says "Location id is required."
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick Production or Sandbox">
    **Environment** is already set to **Production**. Production is the live Square register.

    Pick **Sandbox** only for a practice Square account. The line under the choices says "Sandbox uses the Square sandbox host." A location id is still required.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Press Save">
    Press **Save**. The button says **Saving…** while it works. When it finishes, the word **Active** appears next to **Square**. Finished phone orders go to this location.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Press Test connection">
    Press **Test connection**. The button says **Testing…** while it runs. This prints one ticket for \$0.00. It does not charge anyone, and it does not mark a real phone order paid.
  </Step>
</Steps>

When the test works, the page says:

> Test ticket for \$0.00 was accepted. No phone order was marked paid.

## If the test fails

A red line names the box to fix:

* "Location id is required." Paste the Square location id.
* "Environment has to be one of the listed choices." Pick **Production** or **Sandbox**.

Press **Save**, then press **Test connection** again.

If the page says "The test ticket was not sent", the ticket never left. Fix the red line first.

If the page says "Test ticket for \$0.00 was not accepted", the location did not get the ticket. Read the rest of that sentence. When it names a box on this card, fix that box and test again. No phone order is marked paid.
