# Forward your current number

> Send calls from the number you already have to the Kovo number.

The Phone step shows the number Kovo answers. Calls to the number you already publish reach Kovo only after you forward that number to it. The phone company that owns your current number is the one that turns forwarding on. Kovo does not change that setting.

## Turn on forwarding

    Sign in to trykovo. Open setup, and go to the last step. The heading is **Congratulations, here is your dedicated AI number!**

    The number is on that step. It looks like +1 202 555 0100. That is the number you forward to.

  <Step title="Open the account for your current number">
    Use the app or the website of the phone company that owns the number customers call today. That is the number on the shop, not the number on the Phone step.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Forward all calls">
    Turn on call forwarding, and enter the number from the Phone step. Forward all calls, not only the ones you miss.

    Leave your current number with that phone company. This does not move the number to Kovo.

  <Step title="Call your current number">
    From another phone, call the number you already publish. The call should ring the number on the Phone step.

If the phone company asks where to send the calls, give them the number on the Phone step. Kovo cannot sign in to that account and turn forwarding on for you.
